Transforming Work Environments: The Role of an Organizational Development Department
Now more than ever it is essential for organizations to focus on corporate social responsibility to ensure business growth and attract top talent. By prioritizing social responsibility, we contribute positively to society and create a more sustainable and prosperous future for our company and stakeholders.
At Lean Solutions Group, we believe it is crucial to focus on social responsibility and the relationship it has with our company’s cultural growth and development.
Why focus on social corporate responsibility?
- Help those in need through our various initiatives.
- Create a true positive impact on society and our employees.
- Ensure we operate in an ethical and sustainable way.
- Create alliances that help us provide opportunities for those who need it the most.
- Employee engagement, as they feel that their organization is making a meaningful difference in the world.
- Employee loyalty as they are more likely to be proud of being part of the company and become more committed to their work.
- Employee involvement in volunteering, charitable activities, and sustainability efforts, fostering a sense of purpose and camaraderie.
Why Did Lean Solutions Group Create an Organizational Development Department?
As our company continues to grow and positively impact more lives, we now have the ability to strengthen our corporate culture and values, focusing on social initiatives that, through positive and life-changing experiences, connect the entire Lean community on a global scale.
Organizational Development Mission
We aim to create and oversee employee development programs that benefit our company's international growth. We'll integrate self-sustainable systems for managing performance, talent, diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, organizational culture, and social impact. We're working hard to ensure alignment within LSG's processes, people, and environment.
Our Organizational Development department has two subdivisions:
- Organizational Culture
This subdivision focuses on consolidating our company’s work environment and culture as fundamental areas to ensure quality in our employees' professional and personal lives.
- Corporate Shared Value
We focus on identifying and implementing social and environmental development opportunities to benefit the community in contexts where the company can intervene, support, and participate, according to the annual shared value program.
Some of our Accomplishments
- Delivering a Home for Ana Graciela
We celebrated an incredible milestone this past June 3rd as we delivered our first house to Mrs. Ana Graciela and her family. Who, after a fire, had lost everything. The house was 100% sponsored by Lean Solutions Group, and students at the Altamira School and the volunteers from the Catalina Foundation built it.
- SENA Partnership
Lean Solutions Group sponsored 44 young people in their formative and elective years in collaboration with SENA, a Statal education organization. We will hire this talent to launch their professional careers after they complete their school degrees.
- LYNXS Platform
This program was developed to help people enhance their English proficiency through a one-month intensive training in soft skills and methods for logistics and transportation.
In semi-custom groups of up to 10 people, the Lynxs platform now has 100% coverage. Since 2020, Lean Solutions Group has hired 164 workers and assisted 551 young people in improving their English.
- Partnership with Rofé Foundation
During 2022 and 2023, we have impacted around 90 young people in partnership with the Rofé Foundation, helping with the secondary education of young people in vulnerable conditions and transforming their lives through education in technologies.
We aim to encourage individuals to apply for job opportunities in our company after completing their training.
- Children’s Month Activity
In collaboration with the Sincomoro Foundation and our tech branch, Lean Tech, we developed an activity for 80 kids during Children's Month (April). We provided a fun-filled day with activities like games, talks, and snacks. The Colombian Soles Foundations participated in the activity by providing tennis shoes for these children.
- Painting Workshop
We carried out a unique painting workshop with the "Conectando Corazones" Foundation and our Integral Security team. The Colombian Soles Foundation participated by bringing tennis shoes to autistic children.
- Field Visits at “Santodomingo” Foundation
At Lean Solutions Group, we are committed to education, which is why we open our doors to inspire more young people to participate in field visit days with the Santodomingo Foundation.
- Mothers Month Activity
During Mothers Month (May), in company with the Mayor's Office of Barranquilla, we reached 200 mothers, heads of households, and victims of violence, providing them with help from food and a medical screening day. With this initiative, we aim to reach 800 mothers.
At Lean Solutions Group, we will continue working hard to develop and promote our Organizational Department to ensure we generate a positive impact on society with the help of our engaged employees and overall community. Through our social initiatives, we aim to create valuable opportunities and give back to those in need.
